Resolved Question: what is the difference between suica and japan rail pass?

I will be arriving to Narita, i plan to go to tokyo from there, spend 7 days in tokyo and then travel to kyoto 6 days there and then travel to kobe spend 7 day there too. I want to visit while I am there for example from Kobe to osaka and nara and so. Should I buy both? what difference does it make? can I make it only with the rail pass? Thank you so much!!!...
